Calls for British Treasury minister to quit after ex-RBS chairman insists he DID know all about Fred the Shred's £16m pension

The Treasury minister was urged to resign today after he was accused of lying about when he knew of disgraced banker Sir Fred Goodwin's bumper £16million pension.

Lord Myners claims he only found out about the true scale of the ex-Royal Bank of Scotland boss's payoff this February.

But today the bank's former chairman Sir Tom McKillop insisted the peer knew the size and terms of the deal back in October when it was first agreed.
