Double rescue from quake rubble lifts spirits in Sumatra

Two incredible rescues within hours of each other today lifted the spirits of rescuers and survivors of the devastating earthquake that has shattered the Sumatran city of Padang.

First Ratna Kurin Sari, a 20-year-old student from Prayoga language school was dragged from the rubble 40 hours after being buried in Wednesday's quake.

Just two hours later her schoolmate, Nopa Labianawho, also 20, was pulled out to cheers and shouting from an elated crowd of onlookers.
